Ok, I have to let you in on a little secret- this is my favorite local beach community. It’s no wonder it got its name which is Spanish for “Crown of the Sea”. I think what I like so much about CdL is that it has the best of everything. It has the small-town feel that I love, yet just a sprinkle of the glitz and glamour that is always appealing to me. The homes here range from cute and quaint, to over-the-top sprawling mansions. Actually, the shops and restaurants are kind of the same. The difference here is that you can feel comfortable whether you’re driving a ’69 VW bus, or a 2014 Maserati. The vibe is down-to-earth and the beaches are to die for. What’s not to like?!

I love to walk along PCH and take in the clean air while enjoying the art from a local painter or sculptor inside the many galleries that line the streets here. The beach is just a little more quiet than most around this area I think because most folks are going to the more trendy hangouts, and works out just fine for me.

Grabbing a cup of coffee and taking a morning stroll along the beach here, is one of my favorite things to do. After that, I can handle just about any kind of day this life of mine dishes out!
